Adding Stocks

Add a new equity folder when you want to research a company that isn't in your workspace yet.

Steps

1. In Explorer's Goto bar, click + New Stock.
2. Search for the ticker or company name.
3. Confirm — FIRE creates the research folder structure under stocks/<Name>__<Ticker>/.

What gets created

A standard company folder includes:

• company_documents/ — Company Documents (transcripts, presentations, 10-K, 10-Q, annual reports, etc.)
• models/ — company's financial model and related data files
• analyst_reports/ — sell-side / third-party analyst reports
• meeting_notes/ — management meetings, analyst calls, formal memos
• my_research/ — scratchpads and working research

Ticker catalog

Explorer comes with an inbuilt ticker database for fast search. You can also add more tickers if you cannot find a ticker.

Tips

• US listings use .US, NSE uses .NS, and other exchanges have their own suffixes.
• After adding a stock, open Company Documents and download source files. See Downloading Filings.
